Williamsburg Pumpkin Soup

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 (8 ounce) can cream of chicken soup or 1 (8 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup canned pumpkin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 dash pepper
- 1 (8 ounce) can water (use soup can)
Recipe
- 1 in saucepan, cook onions in butter until tender.
- 2 stir in soup, pumpkin, and seasonings.
- 3 gradually add water.
- 4 heat; stir occasionally.
- 5 garnish with parsley.
