Ingredients
- 1 ham bone (leftovers)
- 3 cups dried whole green peas, split
- 4 quarts water
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1 cup celery, chopped (with leaves)
- 2 cups carrots, diced
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 bay leaf
- salt and pepper
Recipe
- 1 simmer ham bone with peas in water for 2 hours.
- 2 add remaining ingredients.
- 3 continue to cook for about 1 hour.
