Ruth's Bean And Ham Soup

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 (15 1/2 ounce) cans great northern beans (rinsed & drained)
  • 2 medium carrots, diced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 1/4 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked ham, cubed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 mash one can of beans and set aside.
  • 2 in a large saucepan, saute the carrots and onions in butter.
  • 3 stir in the water, ham, seasonings and whole and mashed beans and cook over medium heat until heated through.
