Stove Top Barbecue Ribs

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 -3 lbs lamb ribs
  • 1 (2 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix (i use liptons)
  • 3/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 tablespoon tabasco sauce

Recipe

  • 1 place soup mix, bbq sauce, water and tabasco sauce in a large sauce pan.
  • 2 stir to combine.
  • 3 bring to a boil.
  • 4 add ribs.
  • 5 cover pot, reduce heat and simmer for about 45 minutes (sauce will not cover all of the ribs).
  • 6 remove ribs to a dish.
  • 7 bring sauce to a boil and stir until thickened.
  • 8 taste and add salt pepper and more tabasco to taste (i usually add another tablespoon = we like our sauce on the hot side).
  • 9 cut ribs into serving sized pieces and return to the pot of thickened sauce.
  • 10 stir to coat ribs.
  • 11 serve and enjoy (i hope).
