Sausage Potato And Kale Soup

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 lb sausage
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup onion
  • 6 potatoes, quartered and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon chicken base
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 1 bunch kale, chopped, stems removed
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 brown the sausage in a dutch oven or large soup pot.
  • 2 add onion and garlic and saute until onions are opaque
  • 3 add potatoes.
  • 4 add chicken base.
  • 5 cover ingredients with water.
  • 6 add evaporated milk, cover.
  • 7 cook on medium until potatoes are tender.
  • 8 add kale, cover and simmer on low 5 minutes.
  • 9 add salt and pepper to taste.
