Tamal En Casuela: Cuban Tamale Soup

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 1 lb lamb (cubed)
- 1/3 cup tomato sauce
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1/4 cup dry wine
- 1 lemon
- 2 cups cornmeal
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 cups water
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 green pepper (finely chopped)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Recipe
- 1 cut lamb into cubes and marinate in lemon and garlic.
- 2 brown lamb and add enough olive oil to simmer with onion, green pepper, tomato sauce, and wine.
- 3 mix cornmeal and water thoroughly, then strain.
- 4 add strained mixture to previous ingredients.
- 5 cook on stove for one hour stirring occasionally.
- 6 add salt and pepper to taste.
