Split Pea 'n Ham Soup

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 lb dried split peas
- 1 cup diced onion
- 1 1/2 cups diced carrots
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram, crushed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 lbs ham hocks
Recipe
- 1 put all ingredients and 6 1/2 cups water in a 5 1/2-quart slow cooker.
- 2 cover and cook on high for 6 hours, or low for 12 hours until peas are very soft and fall apart.
- 3 remove ham.
- 4 when cool enough to handle, cut meat off the bone, dice and return to soup.
