Tangy Corn Chowder

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1/2 cup celery
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup tomato juice
  • 1 (16 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
  • 12 ounces whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 dash hot pepper sauce

Recipe

  • 1 sauté celery in butter.
  • 2 blend in flour.
  • 3 gradually add tomato juice; cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  • 4 stir in remaining ingredients.
  • 5 simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 6 sprinkle with additional cheese, if desired.
