Split Pea And Smoked Turkey Soup

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 cups dried split yellow peas
  • 2 cups chopped smoked turkey
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded carrots
  • 1 cup chopped chives
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 5 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup dried tomatoe

Recipe

  • 1 rinse split peas, drain.
  • 2 combine everything in slow cooker, except tomatoes.
  • 3 cook on low for 7 hours.
  • 4 last ten minutes, stir in tomatoes and let stand for 10 minutes.
