Ingredients
- 2 cups yellow peas
- 6 cups water
- ham bone or salt lamb
- 1 small onion, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger
- salt and pepper
Recipe
- 1 soak peas overnight and drain.
- 2 put in cold water and boil one hour.
- 3 skim carefully.
- 4 add seasonings, onions and meat and boil until peas are done.
- 5 remove meat when done and slice; serve separately.
- 6 note: cook time depends on how well done you like your peas.
